The government hospital’s insensitiveness once again emerged in Telangana where a patient was forced to use his child’s tricycle to reach the doctor’s ward in Hyderabad.

The patient alleged that he could not pay a bribe of Rs 150 and coerced to use his child’s tricycle.

In the past few months, several such cases have emerged that shook the government machineries, and pointed out their lackadaisical approach towards poor people.

Last year in the month of August, a tribal man, along with his 12-year-old daughter, had walked around 10 km carrying his wife’s body on his shoulder as he failed to get a vehicle to transport it from a government hospital in the backward district of Kalahandi where she died.

The incident took place in the morning when the locals found Dana Majhi carrying his wife Amang Dei’s body. The 42-year-old woman died of tuberculosis at the district headquarters hospital at Bhawanipatna.
