A BEST bus caught fire on Sunday at the Chakala signal in Andheri East in Mumbai. According to reports, all passengers escaped unharmed. The cause of the fire is still unknown. The bus was travelling from Sakinaka to Andheri East when a sudden blast shook the passenger. Soon a fire broke out, which also engulfed a car passing near the scene, initial reports said. "The control room received a call at 2pm. Two fire brigades, one water tanker and an ambulance was rushed to the spot," according to a fire officer.The officer also reported the fire was under control by 2:30pm and there were no casualties or injuries.He added an investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
