Vijay Mallya arrested in London by Scotland Yard: Here's who said what

Embattled businessman Vijay Mallya, who has been absconding following a loan default case against him, was on Tuesday arrested by Scotland Yard on an extradition warrant by India. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was informed by British authorities about the arrest.On February 8, India had given a formal extradition request for Mallya as per the Extradition Treaty between India and the UK through a note verbale.

Asserting that it has a "legitimate" case against Mallya, India had maintained that if an extradition request is honoured, it would show British "sensitivity towards our concerns."
