In a fallout of election enmity, a 50-year-old village head along with her husband and two sons was killed by a group of persons at Chhawada village in Kulfatehgar area on Thursday, said police.
The incident took place last night when Shakuntala, her husband Vishwambhar (55) and sons Sunil (30) and Sushil (35) were sleeping in their house and over a dozen persons entered their house and opened fire, killing them on the spot, SP Balendu Bhushan said.
An FIR in this regard has been registered against 13 persons including Mahesh, Suresh and Govinda, he said adding the incident was fallout of old election related enmity and no arrests have been made so far. Investigation is underway and the bodies have been sent for postmortem, Bhushan said.
