Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said Outlook Editor-in-chief Vinod Mehta, who passed away earlier this morning, will be remembered as a fine journalist and writer.
"Frank and direct in his opinions, Vinod Mehta will be remembered as a fine journalist and writer. Condolences to his family on his demise," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.
Acclaimed journalist and Editorial Chairman of Outlook India magazine, Vinod Mehta passed away earlier in the day.
According to reports, Mehta was admitted in AIIMS in Delhi.
Mehta was one of the most influential editors and had launched a number of successful publications such as the Sunday Observer, Indian Post, The Independent and The Pioneer (Delhi edition).
