Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan says the internal wranglings in the Samajwadi Pariwar and within the Mulayam Pariwar has rattled the party but shall not affect it's poll prospects.
He tried to play down the possibility of him becoming the state's chief minister. Instead, he expressed his desire to become Prime Minister. He said that he acts as a bridge between Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and UP CM Akhilesh Yadav.
The SP national general secretary termed the stern action taken by chief minister “late but inevitable”.
Some SP leaders even suggested that a new party named National Samajwadi Party or Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party with motorcycle as its symbol could be launched by the Chief Minister.
