The Gorakhpur MP Broke Down In The Parliament Alleging A “political Conspiracy' Against Him By The Uttar Pradesh Government.
Soon to take oath as the next Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has been a fierce firebrand leader throughout his political career. But do you know that the Gorakhpur MP also cried his heart out in Lok Sabha?
The Chief Minister-elect of Uttar Pradesh cried and sobbed during a Lok Sabha session way back in 2007. The BJP leader broke down in the Parliament alleging a “political conspiracy” against him by the Uttar Pradesh Government. Mulayam Singh Yadav-led SP government was in power at that time.
While addressing the lower house, Adityanath alleged that he was being “framed”. He charged that his supporters were booked and he himself was not provided with any reason for his arrest for seven days.
He told the Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee that his life was in danger. Recalling an incident he said that he was kept behind bars for 11 days for a charge in which one can only be kept in jail for 12 hours.
