We plan to eliminate madrassa board, says Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma
Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Said In Assam Assembly That They Are Planning To Eliminate The Controlling Boards Of Madrassa To Introduce Modern Education To The Learners.
Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in Assam Assembly that they are planning to eliminate the controlling boards of madrassa to introduce modern education to the learners.
"We want to mainstream the madrassas and sanskrit tols. We plan to eliminate the madrassa and sanskrit boards," Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in the Assam Assembly.
“To mainstream Madrasa education, we're disbanding Madrasa Education Directorate and making it part of Secondary Education Directorate,” wrote Sarma on Twitter.
Sarma said that the Madrasa Board too will be dissolved and academic part will be handed over to Board of Secondary Education and Restructuring to reform.
"We want to introduce modern learning like computers in these educational institutes. For doing this, we have to change the existing structure," Sarma said during his reply to a Cut Motion on Supplementary Demands for Grants for Mid-Day Meal Scheme.
