After communal violence broke out over a Facebook post early this week in Baduria, life in the town and adjacent areas in North 24 Parganas district was fast becoming normal on Saturday.Vehicles were seen started plying as locals came out like any other normal day. Shops and markets were also reopened in the town. Since Friday, no unfortunate incident was reported, a senior official said. However, internet services remained suspended till further order.A large number of police personnel and paramilitary forces would continue to be deployed in the troubled areas which were peaceful since Friday, the official further said.“We’ll keep the forces deployed till we are sure about the situation. We are keeping a close watch on everything,” he said.With PTI inputs.
