An earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale struck east of Sulawesi island in Indonesia on Friday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said. Indonesia's geophysics agency said a tsunami is possible after the strong earthquake hit east of Sulawesi island. The USGS said the quake which hit at a depth of 17 kilometres.
The epicentre of the quake is far from the city of Palu, which was devastated by an earthquake and tsunami in September.
