China: Nursing home attacked; 3 killed, 15 injured

At least three persons were killed and 15 others injured when a nursing worker randomly attacked people at a nursing home in central China today, on the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year.
The attack occurred at Hunan Province’s Aixin Nursing Home in Yongfeng Township in the early hours, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
Luo Renchu, 64, a nursing worker, randomly attacked elderly people and staff after a brawl with Fang Hongchun, 48, the owner of the nursing home.
He fled the scene after the attack and a efforts are on to nab him, the report said.
In a gruesome incident in November last year, six nurses and a co-worker at a Chinese military hospital were hacked to death by a disgruntled employee in a northeastern seaside resort town.
In another attack in a nursing home in July, 2013, 11 people were charred to death when an inhabitant of a senior citizens nursing home set fire to the facility in a row over USD 32 in northeast China.
