CNN office in New York evacuated after bomb threat: Reports

Cable News Network (CNN) offices in New York were evacuated on Thursday night after the news network received a bomb threat, news agency ANI reported. CNN said that a similar evacuation happened in October after an explosive device was discovered. The caller who phoned in the threat claimed there were five bombs inside the building, New York's WNBC-TV reported, citing a police source.

The bomb threat was called in while CNN's Don Lemon was in mid-broadcast. The show reportedly cut to an "abrupt break" around 9.07 am IST. 

The area -- around 59th Street and Central Park West in midtown Manhattan -- was closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. A bomb squad was also called in, Fox News reported.
