Former Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari has finally returned to Pakistan after days of uncertainty over his return to the country. Earlier Zardari had said that he is not in exile and will return home soon.
In an interview to Geo News on November 21, Zardari had denied being in “exile” and said he would return to Pakistan within the next few weeks.
Notably, the PPP chief abruptly left the country in 2015, after lashing out at the military establishment for overstepping its domain.
PPP Senator Saeed Ghani had also confirmed the possibility of Zardari’s return saying the former president would be back in December.
