Imran Khan invites Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Navjot Singh Sidhu to his swearing-in ceremony
In an interesting turn of event, former top Indian cricketers, including Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar and Navjot Singh Sidhu, have been invited for the swearing-in ceremony of Imran Khan as new Pakistan Prime Minister on August 11, according to reports on Wednesday.
The invitees also included Bollywood stars like Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry told media outside Pakistan's Supreme Court on Wednesday.
The PTI had decided to hold the oath-taking ceremony Pakistan's Independence Day - August 14.
Although the PTI emerged as the single largest party in the National Assembly after the 25 July elections, the party lacks the required numbers to form government independently, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
