He has been probably the most active astronaut from space but that’s not enough for his introduction.
Be it Twitter or Instagram NASA astronaut Scott Kelly has been sharing striking pictures of Earth from space. After spending 340 days in space, Kelly will return to Earth on March 1, 2016.
This accomplishment makes him the first American to endure such a feat. NASA’s One-Year Mission focused on seven categories of research, including medical, psychological and biomedical challenges during long-duration spaceflight. This in turn will help the scientists prepare for a mission to Mars (and beyond), a goal NASA has been working toward over the past several years.
Basically, Kelly’s mission has been about studying how the human body changes during long-duration missions.
