A knife-wielding man attacked a soldier on patrol as part of an anti-terror operation in Paris on Friday but did not cause any injuries, police said.
The attacker lunged at the soldier at the central Chatelet metro station around 6.30 am local time, making reference to Allah, a police source said. The soldier quickly brought the man under control.
Earlier on Friday, an explosion on a London Metro train at Parsons Green underground station injured several people and emergency services were attending people, reported UK Media.
UK police said London's Parsons Green tube explosion is being treated as terrorism.
Officers and ambulance staff were present on the spot following reports of the blast. A hazardous material team has also been dispatched to the scene.
