US President Donald Trump Warns Iran’s Supreme Leader To Be ‘Careful With His Words’
United States President Donald Trump On Friday Warned Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei And Stated That He Needs To Be Very Careful With His Words.
United States President Donald Trump on Friday warned Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and stated that he needs to be very careful with his words. This comes after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei mocked the US president as a "clown".
In a tweet, President Trump said, “The so-called “Supreme Leader” of Iran, who has not been so Supreme lately, had some nasty things to say about the United States and Europe. Their economy is crashing, and their people are suffering. He should be very careful with his words!”
While addressing Iranians after Friday prayers, Khamenei said defended Iran's military after it mistakenly shot down a Ukrainian passenger plane. He further condemned Trump and the US for the deadly drone strike against a top Iranian general.
They lie, "Khamenei said. If you are standing with the Iranian people, it is only to stab them in the heart with their venomous daggers." "The villainous US government repeatedly says that they are standing by the Iranian people," he added.
The war of words between the two leaders began after the US forces assassinated a top Iranian commander General Qassem Soleimani. The US blames Soleimani for the killing of American troops in Iraq and accused him of plotting new attacks just before his death Friday in a drone strike at Baghdad's airport.

Soleimani also led forces in Syria backing President Bashar Assad in a long war, as well as served as the point man for Iranian proxies in countries like Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen. His slaying already has pushed Tehran to abandon the remaining limits of its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers as his successor and others vow to take revenge.
