Uri terror attacks: 18 Martyrs, who left behind a glorious saga of bravery

In the finest traditions of Indian army, these 18 brave Infantry soldiers made their supreme sacrifice. Out of the total 18 martyred jawans, 15 belonged to Bihar regiment and two were from Dogra regiment. The Bihar regiment soldiers had reached Uri on Saturday and were supposed to replace the Dogra regiment soldiers who were already present there.

The wreath laying ceremony of 18 Indian Army soldiers who lost their lives in Sunday’s terrorist attack in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir, will take place in Srinagar on Monday. Here is the roll of honour:

1. Havildar Ravi Pal of 10 Dogra, a resident of Samba in Jammu and Kashmir has left behind him wife and two children. 

2. Subedar Karnail Singh of 10 Dogra, was a residentof  Vill Shibu Chak, Teh- Bishnah, in Jammu.

3. Sepoy Rakesh Singh of 6 Bihar Regiment, belonged to Baddja village in Kaimur district of Bihar.

4. Sepoy Javra Munda of 6 Bihar Regiment, was a resident of  Meral village in Khuti district of Jharkhand.

5. Sepoy Naiman Kujur of 6 Bihar regiment belonged to Gumla village of Chainpur district, Jharkhand.

6. Sepoy Uike Janrao of 6 Bihar regiment was a resident of Nandgaon village in Amravati, Maharashtra.

7.  Havildar NS Rawat of 6 Bihar regiment belonged to Rajawa village of Rajasmand, Rajasthan.

8. Sepoy Ganesh Shankar of 6 Bihar regiment was a resident of Ghoorapalli village in Sant Kabir Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

9. Naik SK Vidarthi of 6 Bihar regiment belonged to Boknari village in Gaya, Bihar.

10. Sepoy Biswajit Ghorai of 6 Bihar regiment was a resident of Ganga Sagar of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal.

11. Lance Naik G Shankar of 6 Bihar regiment belonged to  Jashi village of  Satara, Maharashtra.

12. Sepoy G Dalai of 6 Bihar regiment was a resident of Jamuna Balia in Howrah, West Bengal.

13. Lance Naik RK Yadav of 6 Bihar regiment belonged to Ballia, Uttar Pradesh.

14. Sepoy Harinder Yadav of 6 Bihar regiment was a resident of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.

15.  Sepoy TS Somnath of 6 Bihar regiment belonged to Khadangali village of Nashik, Maharashtra.

16. Havildar Ashok Kumar Singh of 6 Bihar regiment was a resident of Raktu Tola village of Bhojpur, Bihar.

17. Sepoy Rajesh kr Singh belonged to Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.

18. Sepoy K Vikas Janardhan succumbed at R&R Hospital, New Delhi
