New Delhi:
Google has slightly modified its Gmail login page and rolled out a new login screen.
The attempt is to create a future look at a space where passwords would mean something different.
The new design splits the login process into two parts. In the first page you have to insert your username, then you will be redirected to a second page for password input.
But, not all are happy! Users have complained that the process slows them down. Others have complained it is becoming difficult to log in using various password managers.
According to Google, the minor update is part of its larger goal of introducing new authentication solutions which can easily complement traditional passwords.
The new process is also likely to reduce confusion among people who have multiple Google accounts
According to sources, there is also a possibility that Google may include two-step/two-factor authentication, hardware dongles, or perhaps even some web-based variation of Android's 'Smart Lock'.
