New Delhi:

The Central Board of Secondary Education on Sunday decided to conduct online mock tests for students, appearing for the prestigious Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2018.

After introducing the idea of metal detectors in JEE Mains exam centres across the country, CBSE in its latest move directed all the affiliated schools to open computer labs for JEE 2018 exam aspirants.

The initiative aims to familiarise students with the code of conduct, exam pattern and difficulty level of the Joint Entrance Exam 2018. CBSE further asked schools to start these online mock test practice sessions for students.

The students are further advised to go through the detail guideline of CBSE in regard to the JEE 2018 exam pattern.

Apart from JEE Advanced, CBSE has extended the facility for almost all the major competitive exams, scheduled to take place in 2018.

However, students, who have already cleared the JEE Mains 2018 can access to these practice sessions only.  The initiative has brought a sigh of relief to the students who were facing issues and daring to appear for the same.

More than 18,000 schools under CBSE are set to open computer labs in order to allow JEE 2018 exam aspirants for the online tests. The practice session will be scheduled prior to hold the JEE Advanced exam in May 2018.

While the JEE Mains 2018 exam is scheduled to take place on April 8, 2018, IITs will hold the JEE Advanced exam on May 20, 2018. The JEE Mains 2018 exam will be conducted in both online and offline mode while JEE Advanced 2018 will take place in the computer-based written format only.
