Karan Johar has all the reason to be on cloud nine these days, especially on the personal front, as the ace filmmaker has become a father now.
Yes! It's true. KJo is a proud father of twins, a boy and a girl, which were born through surrogacy.
The director took it to micro-blogging site Twitter, to share the news with his fans and shared a statement saying that he feel blessed to be a parent.
Karan wrote, "I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science."
He also stated, "This was an emotional yet well thought out decision which I have taken after considering all the responsibilities and duties that come with being a parent."

According to media reports, the babies were born at Masrani Hospital in Mumbai, in February, although the exact date is not known.
Their birth registration with the public health department mentions Johar as the father. Notably, there hasn't been any mention of the mother of the babies.
Indeed, it is a happy moment for KJo, who has named his little bundles of joy after his parents.

Johar has named his son as Yash (after his late father) and daughter Roohi (a re-arrangement of his mother, Hiroo's name).
Interestingly, it hasn't been long when Karan expressed his desire to become a parent in his autobiography 'An Unsuitable Boy'.
He had written, “I don’t know what I’m going to do about it but I feel like I would like to be a parent. I don’t know how it’s going to happen but I do feel the need because I have plenty of love to offer and I’d like to take it forward.”
While Karan Johar is busy celebrating the arrival of these new members of his family, he is not the only one to become a single parent in B-town.
Earlier, Tusshar Kapoor too had become a single parent to a baby boy Lakshay through surrogacy.
Besides, there are several other celebs as well who too opted for surrogacy, including Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.
