Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently busy shooting for his upcoming Anand L Rai directorial, will not be romancing Deepika Padukone in the movie. Instead, the makers have roped in another A-lister actress as the female lead.
We are talking about Anushka Sharma.
According to the media reports, Rai has finalised the 'Phillauri' actress for the leading role in his yet to be titled movie.
Anushka has bagged the role after beating Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt who too were being considered. The actress is said to be playing the role of a mentally challenged girl.

Interestingly, the movie will feature King Khan in the role of a dwarf and the superstar is quite excited about the project.
“My look is very different from Kamal Haasan’s in Appu Raja. We have done the test, we are through with the trailers. We will be releasing it (look) properly. It’s important that the audience accepts our effort. I think we will start shooting from March 21 and it will go on for five-six months or maybe take some more time.” Shah Rukh Khan had earlier told PTI about the film.
“That movie is very exciting, very different. To me, it is technologically most superior movie ever been made in India. I don’t want to show-off, but it is one of its kinds and will start next month. I am very excited.” he had said at another instance.
This yet to be titled movie also stars Katrina Kaif in the key role.
Currently, Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma is busy with their upcoming movie which happens to be a Imtiaz Ali directorial. The movie is slated to release on August 11 this year.
