The Congress has suffered a major setback before the 2022 Municipal Elections of Delhi. People are constantly joining AAP influenced by the commendable work being done by the Kejriwal Government in all areas including education, health, electricity, water, roads, transport and WiFi. On Saturday, senior Congress leader and 5-time Municipal Councilor Mukesh Goyal, 2-time Councilor Parma Bhai Solanki, along with more than a dozen Congress office-bearers and hundreds of their supporters joined the Aam Aadmi Party.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party Manish Sisodia welcomed them into the party with a cap and patka. He said that the politics of the country is evolving. Those who want to do something for the public and the country are joining the Aam Aadmi Party. Manish Sisodia said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party worked in the interests of the public which was considered impossible in Indian politics.

He said that Shri Mukesh Goyal is joining the party today after being impressed by the way the Aam Aadmi Party has worked in Delhi in the fields of education, health, water, electricity among others in public interest. Deputy Chief Minister said that Aam Aadmi Party is a movement to provide better facilities to the public and welcomed Shri Mukesh Goyal to the movement with the hope that he will serve the society after joining the Aam Aadmi Party. On this occasion, Mukesh Goyal said that the model of development developed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi is being discussed today not only in Delhi but across India. He said that whatever the Aam Aadmi Party is doing in Delhi is commendable and the public is receiving its benefits.

Opposing the Aadmi Party did not feel right. This is why I left the Congress and joined the Aam Aadmi Party to work in the interest of the public. It is noteworthy that Mukesh Goyal is a senior Congress leader. He has been a five time Municipal Councilor from Congress and a three time Chairperson of the Standing Committee of MCD.

Along with Mukesh Goyal, more than a dozen office-bearers including 2-time Corporation Councilor Parma Bhai Solanki have joined the Aam Aadmi Party, including Surendra Garg, Anshul Varun Gupta, Anurag Garg, Vijay Chauhan, Varun Gupta, Lakshya Mittal, Kamal Chaudhary, Chandrapal Sharma, Reena Manhas, Ravi Badhwa, Vijay Rathor, Radheshyam Kadyan, Sanjay Manhas, Jagmohan Jaggu and Master Jai Kishan Goyal.
