New Delhi:

The Pakistani helicopter that entered into the Indian airspace along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district was carrying the Prime Minister of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) Raja Farooq Haider, reported Pakistani media.

According to Geo news, the PoK PM was travelling in the white chopper which violated the Indian airspace and subsequently fired at by Indian Army. Haider was reportedly going to pay condolences to an acquaintance when the incident happened.

Talking to the Pakistani channel, the PoK PM claimed that his chopper didn’t cross the LoC and accused India of “lying”.

“The Indian forces made the excuse that the helicopter crossed LOC. They are lying. They are doing it because they are going for polls in coming days. I was travelling with my ministers,” Geo News quoted Haider as saying.

In a video shared by news agency ANI, a white chopper was seen flying above the mountainous region in Poonch. The chopper, however, returned to PoK side even as sounds of gunshots were heard.
