Indian Navy is celebrating 50 glorious years of submarining. Bollywood music composers Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy have sung a special rendition titled ‘Lehero se Gahraiyon tak’ to commemorate the glorious five decades of the silent army.

The beautiful song depicts the sublime journey of submarines with Indian Navy which started on Dec 8, 1967 and has been composed by a serving submariner Captain Sudeep Sen.

Indian Navy’s Submarine arm will complete 50 years on December 8 this year. Submarine Day is celebrated every year to commemorate the birth of the submarine arm with induction of the first submarine, erstwhile INS Kalvari, into the Indian Navy on December 8, 1967.
