Virat Kohli, who undoubtedly has a lot in his plates due to the ongoing tour in Australia, has been requested by Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh to stop eating grilled chicken and instead switch to â€˜Kadaknath chickenâ€™. The centre claims that â€˜Kadaknath chickenâ€™ is low on cholesterol and fat, and comes with high protein and iron properties.Â
In the letter addressed to BCCI and Kohli, and shared by news agency ANI, the centre writes, â€œIt has been known by the media that Virat Kohli and other players of India cricket team are eating Grilled Chicken in their diet. But due to higher quantities of cholesterol and fat in Grilled Chicken you are stop [sic] itâ€™s in your diet and adopted [sic] vegan diet.â€
â€˜â€™Krishi Vigyan Kendra Jhabua (Kadaknath Research Centre) want to suggest Virat Kohli and BCCI that in the meet of Jhabuaâ€™s Kadaknath chickens the cholesterol and fat are very low with higher protein and iron content as per report of National Research Centre on Meet Hyderabad. Therefore, you and your team members are fulfill [sic] your chicken requirement by Jhabuaâ€™s Kadaknath chickens.â€

Last year, in the show Breakfast with Champions, Virat Kohli had revealed that he prefers eating grilled chicken and mashed potatoes for lunch. This is hopefully where Krishi Vigyan Kendra has taken a cue from.He had said, â€œI have a set breakfast. I eat an omelette, three egg whites, one whole egg. The spinach black pepper and cheese, some grilled bacon or smoked salmon along with it. I eat papaya or dragon fruit if itâ€™s available or watermelon. I eat decent amount of cheese for good fats. I carry my own butters and I get gluten free bread from the hotelsâ€¦so I apply on that. Then a nice big pot of green tea with lemon, I drink three to four cups of that.â€™â€™
â€œWhen our trainer Mr. Basu tells me to put on a bit of muscle then I increase red meat. Otherwise generally for lunch itâ€™s grilled chicken and mashed potatoes, spinach and veggies and for dinner itâ€™s seafood,â€ he went on to add.
Virat Kohli is currently stationed in Australia, gearing up to play the fourth Test match of the series, which India lead 2-1. India won the last Test in Melbourne by a convincing 137-run margin.
