New Delhi:
West Indies, who are on the brink of a 3-0 capitulation in what was considered their best chance to break their drought in India, have chosen to bat in Chennai. Kolkata showed the one-sided nature of the contest while in Lucknow, they were blown away by a hurricane called Rohit Sharma as he plundered a record fourth century in the format. The Indian skipper needs just 69 runs to become the leading run-getter in Twenty20 Internationals while West Indies would be aiming to avoid a Twenty20 clean sweep. With Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav, the two main tormentors for the West Indies rested, the visitors will be aiming to break their hoodoo.

If West Indies suffer a 3-0 whitewash, then this will be the third time that they would have suffered this defeat by this margin. Pakistan have whitewashed them twice.
The last time Chennai hosted a Twenty20 International, it was in 2012 and it featured India going head-to-head against New Zealand. The Kiwis won the match by one run. The Chennai crowd will turn up in large numbers even without the presence of their hero, MS Dhoni.
A warm welcome to the final game of West Indies' tour to India. After a five-day break due to the Diwali celebrations, will India achieve the 3-0 clean sweep or will the Windies end their tour on a high? By the way, what was the point of a five-day game for a dead-rubber game? Makes you scratch your head in disbelief
