Dwayne Smith hit a majestic half-century as he scored a fascinating half-century and struck an amazing partnership with Ishan Kishan to give Gujarat Lions a strong start. Later, on Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik and Ravindra Jadeja took the team to a 6-wicket victory against Kings XI Punjab.
Hashim Amla hit a brilliant century as he took Kings XI Punjab to a massive score of 189 runs for the loss of three wickets. It was his second century in this IPL and he formed a brilliant partnership with Shaun Marsh to punish the Gujarat Lions.
