Union Minister Smriti Irani on Saturday slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his Twitter where the later requested Delhi women to consult the men in their families before casting their votes. Calling Kejriwal anti-women with a hashtag 'Mahila Viroodhi Kejriwal', Smriti Irani wrote, "Don't you consider women capable enough to decide on their own whom they should vote for?".
Responding to Smriti Irani's charge, Arvind Kejriwal said, "Smriti ji, the women of Delhi have decided whom to vote for. And this time in Delhi, the women have decided their family's vote as well. After all they will have to drive houses."

It all started when Arvind Kejriwal earlier today posted a tweet asking Delhi's women voters to come out in large numbers and vote. However, towards the end of his tweet he wrote: "Purushon se charcha jaroor karen ki kise vote dena sahi rahega (Do consult with men whom it would be better to vote for)."
"Please go out and vote today. I specially appeal to the women that just as you uphold responsibilities of your house, you also have to shoulder responsibilities of the country and Delhi. The women must go out and vote and please take the men in your house alongwith you to vote. Please do discuss with men whom it would be better to vote for,” Kejriwal tweeted, nine minutes before voting started.
Now, it would be interesting to see how the union minister will react.
