Hyundai Kona Electric SUV unveiled with 470 km range in one charge
Currently, Kona Electric Will Be Available In European Market Only And In 21 Colour Combinations
South Korean automaker Hyundai has unveiled the Kona Electric SUV earlier before the debut at 2018 Geneva Motor Show next week.
The electric car will be available in two variants, one which uses 39.2 kWh battery and 99kW electric motor, the longer-range Kona Electric uses 64 kWh battery and 150kW motor.
The short-range Kona Electric can reach 0-100 kmph in just 9.3 seconds while the loner-range version takes 7.6 seconds.
It has lithium ion battery which charges longer-range variant in 9 hours and 40 minutes whereas the short-range can be completely charged in just 6 hours and 10 minutes.
Talking about the looks of the car, on the outside the car is designed similarly to Kona. It has a close grille in the front with no exhausts and the bumpers and the spoiler of the car is designed specifically for aerodynamics.
In the inside, it has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) along with driver assistance system including cruise control, lane centring system, rear-cross traffic alert and automatic emergency braking.
The front seats of the SUV have the heating and ventilating facility and are 8-way electrically adjustable. It will also come with an option of heated steering wheel.
Currently, Kona Electric will be available in European market only and in 21 colour combinations
