This Year, Along With Students, Invigilators Will Also Be Barred From Carrying Mobile Phones Inside The Examination Hall.
WBBSE Madhyamik exams: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) is all set to conduct class 10 (Madhyamik) examinations today i.e. 12 February. The candidates who are preparing for the examination is asked to make all the exam related preparations now. According to the reports, this year, over two lakh candidates will appear for the examinations that will be concluded on February 22.
The WBBSE class 10 admit cards were available till February 11, 2019. In order to curb cheating and other malpractices, the West Bengal Board had implemented various steps. This year, along with students, invigilators will also be barred from carrying mobile phones inside the examination hall.
The candidates will have to hand over the mobile phones half an hour before the start of examination to the venue-in-charge who will be a government official, Board president Kalyanmoy Ganguly said.

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is the Education Board that has been entrusted the task of managing the secondary level school education in the state of West Bengal. The Board was established through the West Bengal Secondary Education Act, 1950, though it started functioning only around the year 1951. The Board provides course curriculum to the affiliated schools, monitors the implementation of education policies and conducts the yearly WB Madhyamik Exam. Approx 10 lakh students appear for the annual West Bengal Board Madhyamik Examination.
