UPSC Civil Services Results 2016 declared: Nandini K R tops list, Anmol Sher Singh Bedi secures second position
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) On Wednesday Declared The Final Results Of Civil Services 2016 Examinations On Its Official Website.
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Wednesday declared the final results of Civil Services 2016 examinations on its official website. The final selection is based on the results of the main examination held in November, 2016 and personality test in February-March, 2017.
Nandini K R has topped UPSC Civil Services examination 2016. Anmol Sher Singh Bedi and G Ronanki have got second & third positions, respectively.
Nandini, who belongs to Karnataka, said: "It is a big achievement for me. I always wanted to be an IAS officer." She had qualified for IRS last year and is currently posted in Faridabad. She had passed her engineering from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology.

1099 candidates have been recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service; and Central Services, Group 'A' and Group 'B'.
500 students qualified in general category while 347 candidates were selected in OBC category. 163 and 89 candidates were selected in SC and ST categories respectively.Appointment to the various Services will be made according to the number of vacancies available with due consideration to the provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination, said a statement from UPSC.
