The Entrance Examination Is A Gateway To Master's And Direct Doctoral Programmes In Engineering, Technology, Architecture And Other Branches Of Science At Various Indian Institute Of Science (IISc) And IITs Across The Country.
After hours of anticipation, the GATE 2019 Admit Card has been released by the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras) at about 4 pm on Friday. The IIT-Madras has made the admit cards available at its official website i.e. gate.iitm.ac.in. This year, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) will take place between February 2 and February 10, 2019. GATE 2019 will be held in two shifts each day - morning and afternoon. While the first round of examination will be held between 9 am to 12 pm, the second round is scheduled to take place between 2 pm and 5 pm. The results will be announced on March 16, 2019.
Here are the steps to download your GATE 2019 Admit Card:
Step 1: Visit the official website of GATE - gate.iitm.ac.in
Step 2: Click on the link - Admit Card under the Quick Links box
Step 3: Enter your Enrollment ID / Email Address and Password to login to your account
Step 4: Enter the Captcha
Step 5: Click on submit
Step 6: GATE 2019 Admit Card will be appeared on your screen
Step 7: Download and take a print out of your admit card for future reference

Important Instructions to keep in mind:
GATE 2019 will be conducted on 24 papers including aerospace engineering, agricultural engineering, architecture and planning, biotechnology, civil engineering, chemical engineering, instrumentation engineering, mathematics and mechanical engineering among others. A candidate is allowed to appear for only one paper in any one session.
As per the official notification, calculators, mobile phones, wristwatches, and other electronic devices are not allowed inside the examination centre. The exam will take place for 3-hour duration and comprise 65 questions, each carrying 1 or 2 marks, totaling 100 marks. There will be negative marking for wrong questions in multiple choice questions. However, there will be no negative marking for wrong answers in numerical answer type questions.
