The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) invited applications for Special Branch Constable Competitive Examination (SBCCE) 2018. The notification was released on December 20, 2018. The application process will begin from January 4, 2019 and will go on until February 18, 2019. The details are available on at jssc.nic.in The candidates need to be at least 19 years old to be eligible to apply. Candidates must have cleared the 12th class to be eligible to apply for the position.

The maximum age limit is capped at 25 years for unreserved candidates, 28 years for OBC, and 30 years for SC/ST candidates.
Selection process:

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) was constituted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Act, 2008 (Jharkhand Act 16, 2008) which was published vide Gazette notification on December 6, 2008 of by the Jharkhand government. The Act was amended by Jharkhand Act 03,2011 and Jharkhand Act 19,2011; published vide Gazette notification nos. 153 dated 24 February 2011 and 687 dated 11 October 2011, respectively.
Initially, the Office of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission was located at Dhurwa, Ranchi, till 01-08-2016. Since the accommodation fell short of the actual requirements of the Commission, its office was shifted to Kalinagar, Chaay Bagan, Namkum, Ranchi, Jharkhand – 834010 of which the foundation stone was laid by then chief minister Hemant Soren and later inaugurated on August 2, 2018, by Chief Minister Raghuvar Das.
