After wowing movie goers with movies such as Andhadhun, Article 15, Khuranna is proving to be one of the most bankable actors in B-town yet again with his onscreen avatar as tellecaller, Pooja. As of the box office collection for Raaj Shaandilyaa’s movie, Dream girl has collected Rs 10.05 crore on the first day of its release making it Ayushmann's biggest opener so far.
As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Dream Girls collected Rs 10.05 crore, which broke the opening records of films such as Chhichore starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Kartik Aaryan’s Luka Chuppi, Uri - The Surgical Strike and De De Pyaar De.
Adarsh wrote, “DreamGirl takes a heroic start... Emerges #AyushmannKhurrana’s biggest opener to date... Has also opened bigger than several mid-range films [2019] like #Uri [₹ 8.20 cr], #LukaChuppi [₹ 8.01 cr] and #Chhichhore [₹ 7.32 cr]... Fri ₹ 10.05 cr. #India biz’’ Adarsh tweeted.
The box office collection which is also expected to soar in the coming days also beat Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike and Kartik Aaryan’s Luka Chuppi’s opening day collections.
