When it comes to giving back trolls the taste of their own medicine look no further Taapsee Pannu. On Monday a user questioned the nationality of the actor after she shared an article about the arrest of the main accused in the violence at Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, the site of Sikh faith founder Guru Nanak Dev’s birth, in Pakistan. Sharing the article Pannu tweeted, “Chalo ab humaari baari’’, a clear hint at the JNU violence which she had strongly voiced against.
Reacting to Taapsee’s tweet a user questioned the nationality of the actor tweeting, ‘R u Indian Taapsee’ to which the Pink star tweeted back with a savage response,
“Ab tumhaare ko bhi paper dikhaane hai kya?.
As for voicing out against the JNU violence, Taapsee was spotted particaipting in a peaceful protest at Carter Road in Mumbai along with Zoya Akhtar, Richa Chadha, Vishal Bhardwaj and Anurag Kashyap.
In the peaceful gathering were also spotted other B towners such as Swara Bhasker, Sudhir Mishra, Rekha Bhardwaj, Anubhav Sinha, Dia Mirza, Rahul Dholakia, Ali Fazal, Neeraj Ghaywan, Reema Kagti, Hansal Mehta, Vikramaditya Motwane, Saurabh Shukla, Rajkumar Gupta, who joined hands to protest against the JNU violence that left over 34 people injured.
The nation’s capital was thrown into another mayhem on Sunday when a group of masked goons stormed the Jawaharlal Nehru University armed with sticks and rods attacked students and teachers and damaged property on the campus, prompting the administration to call in police which conducted a flag march.
