VIP 2 release date: Dhanush-Kajol starrer to lock horns with Akshay Kumar's 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'

Dhanush has finally revealed the release date of his upcoming movie 'VIP 2' starring Bollywood actress Kajol in the lead and averred that the movie will release in August 11.Interestingly, a lot of speculations were being made about the release of 'VIP 2'. However, the South superstar has finally put all the speculations to rest.In a series of tweet on micro-blogging site Twitter, Dhanush requested fans not to spread rumours about the release date of his movie. He later unveiled a teaser of the movie and revealed that 'VIP 2' will release on August 11.

According to the media reports, Dhanush's 'VIP 2' is a multi-lingual movie and will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi respectively.Interestingly, the movie will witness a box office clash with Akshay Kumar's 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' which is also scheduled to release on the same date.Talking about 'VIP 2', a Soundarya Rajinikanth directorial is a sequel to Dhanush's 2014 Tamil blockbuster 'Vela Illa Pattathari'. The movie also marks Kajol return to Kollywood after a gap of 20 years.Given the extensive promotion and popularity of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha', we wonder if 'VIP 2' will be able to stand tall in front of Akshay-starrer.
