AAP leader Sisodia slams BJP for playing 'dirty politics'; says 20 Delhi MLAs disqualification 'unconstitutional'
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister In A Open Letter Wrote, “Isn’t It Unconstitutional And Illegal To Disqualify MLAs? Isn’t It Pushing Delhi Into Polls?'
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday questioned the disqualification of 20 AAP legislators and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of indulging in ‘dirty politics’ in an open letter to the people of Delhi.
“Isn’t it unconstitutional and illegal to disqualify MLAs? Isn’t it pushing Delhi into polls?” wrote Sisodia in a two page open letter updated on Twitter.
He also wrote, “The BJP is trying to derail AAP for the last three years. They earlier tried to frame our MLAs in false cases, tried to poach our MLAs. When they failed to derail our government they disqualify our 20 MLAs.”
The Delhi deputy chief minister in his open letter asked voters of the union territory, “Isn’t it dirty politics.”
The AAP leader before ending his letter showed confidence that Delhi voters will elect the party in the disqualified seats. He wrote, “You will give a befitting reply.”
President Ram Nath Kovind approved the Election Commission’s recommendation to disqualify 20 party MLAs for violating the law against holding an office of profit.
