Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a statesman politician is also a passionate poet of some stature. He had once said that “one day you may become an ex-prime minister, but you will never become an ex-poet!” Vajpayee, a born fighter and an extraordinary orator motivated even his political rivals through his words.

Today, the celebrated poet and one of the shrewdest politicians of the country is in critical condition and put on life support system at Delhi’s AIIMS Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital on June 11 with a kidney and urinary tract infection.
