Balram Dass Tandon to be cremated on August 16

Chhattisgarh Governor Balramji Dass Tandon, who died in Raipur on Tuesday, will be cremated here on August 16.
The mortal remains of the governor were flown to the Air Force Station in Ambala on Tuesday night. From there, the body was taken to Chandigarh.
Several ministers and political leaders paid their last respects to the departed leader here.

Tandon, 90, breathed his last at the state-run Dr B R Ambedkar Memorial Hospital in Raipur where he was rushed in the morning after he complained of uneasiness.
He was one of the founding members of Jan Sangh.
