Bhartiya Janta Party’s Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari on Monday wrote a letter to Home Minister alleging that Vishal Dadlani’s comment on Jain monk is a part of a larger political conspiracy.Â
Accusing former Aam Adami Party’s promoter Vishal Dadlani of hurting religious sentiments, Tiwari demanded strict legal action against him.Â
“Hurting anyone’s religious sentiments is a serious offence in our country and this offence has been committed by Arvind Kejriwal’s close aide Vishal Dadlani,†he said in the letter.Â
Music director and composer Vishal Dadlani on Saturday stirred a controversy with his tweet by referring to a Jain seer who addressed Haryana Assembly as 'naked monk', in which he said politics and religion should not be mixed.
Moments after the tweet appeared from his account, he was ridiculed by several Jain sect followers. He soon realised the seriousness of the matter and issued public apology.
Dadlani also urged everyone to not mix religion and politics. Delhi Chief Minister was also amongst the ones who slammed Dadlani for making such remark.
Delhi minister Satyender Jain also apologised on Dadlani's behalf:
Following the outrage, Vishal Dadlani announced that he is quitting from all active political work and affiliations.
A twitter user has also filed an online complaint against Mr Dadlani into the matter.
