I admire work of doctors but saddened with way corporate hospitals exploit them, says Arvind Kejriwal
The Delhi Chief Minister Said, “Max Shalimar Bagh Left Us With No Option Other Than To Take Action. Our Conscience Would Have Pricked Us Had We Remained Silent On Such Inhuman Criminal Negligence.'
A day after Delhi Medical Association (DMA) wrote to Chief Minister seeking the withdrawal of the order cancelling the license of Max Super Specialty Hospital in Shalimar Bagh, Arvind Kejriwal said he admires work of the doctors but saddened with the way corporate owned private hospitals exploit them.
Kejriwal on Sunday during a program at Delhi’s Mundka said, “Delhi government is not against private hospitals and is full aware of their importance.”
The Delhi chief minister added, “Max Shalimar Bagh left us with no option other than to take action. Our conscience would have pricked us had we remained silent on such inhuman criminal negligence.”
Arvind Kejriwal further stated that the doctors are saviours and he salutes their work. “We admire their work but it is sad the way corporate owned private hospitals exploit them,” said the Delhi chief minister.

Delhi Medical Council (DMC) on Saturday in its letter marked to Arvind Kejriwal and state Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that the government should wait for the report of the on the issue which is expected in a few days.
The DMA has opposed the Delhi government’s order and had said that it would give a call for strike, if needed.

The Delhi government had cancelled the license of the hospital for an alleged medical negligence in multiple instances including the twins case in which one of the babies was found alive after being declared dead by the doctors.
