An FIR was registered against unknown railway personnel on Monday in Indore-Patna Express derailment in Kanpur Dehat, that has claimed at least 145 lives.
“An FIR has been lodged at Bhognipur police station in Kanpur dehat by Government Railway police SHO, Bheemsen Arjun Singh under section IPC 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (Causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 304 A (causing hurt), 154 Railway act against unknown Railway personnel,” DGP Javed Ahmed said.
Till now 145 persons have died, out of which 130 have been identified and 127 bodies have been handed over to their family members, according to DGP office sources.
Among those killed, 68 are from UP, 28 from MP, 31 from Bihar, two from Maharastra and one from Jharkhand.
