Forgo fitness challenge, accept fuel challenge: Rahul Gandhi dares PM Modi
In a nationwide trending fitness challenge in which people are nominating others to share videos and photographs on social media platform Twitter, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday threw a challenge for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a tweet Rahul Gandhi wrote, "Dear PM, Glad to see you accept the @imVkohli fitness challenge. Here’s one from me: Reduce Fuel prices or the Congress will do a nationwide agitation and force you to do so. I look forward to your response."
Congress president’s tweet came hours after PM Modi accepted Indian cricket skipper Virat Kohli’s nomination to upload his fitness video on Twitter. Narendra Modi tweeted, “Challenge accepted, Virat! I will be sharing my own #FitnessChallenge video soon @imVkohli #HumFitTohIndiaFit.â€
The trend started with Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore posting his video doing push ups and challenging Kohli, Badminton star Saina Nehwal and Bollywood icon Hrithik Roshan to continue the challenge.
Virat Kohli in reply had posted his video and nominated Bollywood actress and wife Anushka Sharma, colleague MS Dhoni and PM Modi to post their fitness mantras.
Before Rahul Gandhi, Rasthriya Janata Dal leader and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Tejashwi Yadav also gave a dare to PM Modi, "to provide jobs to young, relief to farmers, promise of no violence against Dalits and minorities.â€
"While we have nothing against accepting fitness challenge from @imVkohli. I urge you to accept the challenge to provide jobs to young, relief to farmers, promise of no violence against dalits & minorities. Would you accept my challenge @narendramodi Sir?" Tejashwi Yadav tweeted.
Apart from Kohli, Hrithik Roshan and Saina Nehwal had also accepte Rajyavardhan Rathore's challenge.Â
