Four-month-old infant dies after developing breathing problem in IndiGo flight
In an unfortunate incident, a four-month-old boy suddenly developed breathing problem while aboard a Bengaluru-Patna IndiGo flight and died at the Hyderabad airport on Tuesday.
The infant was with his parents when the incident occurred as the flight 6E 897 was diverted to Rajiv Gandhi Hyderabad International Airport following the tragic development.
The crew on board had requested to arrange doctor and an ambulance upon arrival. However, Sparsh was declared dead upon arrival at the Apollo clinic at RGIA.

The actual cause of the baby’s death is yet to be identified.
The boy’s family is from Patna and his father Sandeep Kumar works in Bengaluru.
"An IndiGo flight 6E 897 operating from Bangalore to Patna was diverted to Hyderabad due to a medical case this morning,” said IndiGo in a statement.
"The crew along with a doctor on-board attended to an infant. After landing, the infant was immediately rushed to the hospital accompanied by an IndiGo staff member. Unfortunately, the infant died," the statement added.
A case under Section 174 of the CrPC has been filed.
