Some unidentified persons have allegedly stolen a statue of Dr. B R Ambedkar at Meerapur village in Haryana’s Palwal, the police said on Wednesday.
Investigating Officer Dulichand said that the police got the information about the matter on Wednesday following a complaint by the village sarpanch.
The statue was stolen on October 19, the sarpanch claimed on Wednesday.
The complainant attempted to make inquiries at his level, but later informed the local police, the officer said.
The police have registered a case and started the investigations.
