India is the most corrupt Asian country with 69 per cent bribery rates, a report by Transparency International said.
The report was published in March 2017 but the official handle of the Forbes India tweeted the article again on Friday.
In the list of most corrupt Asian countries, India is ahead of Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and even Pakistan.
“In five of the six public services—schools, hospitals, ID documents, police, and utility services—more than half the respondents have had to pay a bribe,” the Forbes India report said.

According to the report, With 69 percent bribery rate, India tops the list which is followed by Vietnam at 65 per cent, Thailand at 41 per cent, Pakistan at 40 per cent and Myanmar at 40 percent bribery rate.
The Forbes India tweeted the article days after Reserve Bank of India released its annual report that stated that 99 percent of the demonetized currency came back into the banking system.
The report trashed PM Modi’s all the demonetization “mahayagna” claims that the move will “purify the country” of corruption, black money, and fake currency.
