J&K: Three militants killed as Army foils infiltration bid in Baramulla
An Army Official Said The Soldiers Noticed Some Suspicious Movement Near The LoC And Challenged The Suspects.
Three terrorists were killed as Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid in along the Line of Control in Rampur and Tangdhar sectors of Jammu & Kashmir's Baramulla district on Monday. A search operation was on till the last reports came in.
The Army recovered two weapons from them. A defence spokesperson said, "An infiltration bid was foiled today by alert soldiers along the LoC in Rampur sector of Baramulla district.â€
An Army official said the soldiers noticed some suspicious movement near the LoC and challenged the suspects. "An exchange of fire took place between the sides," he said adding search operation was launched soon after the gunfire stopped.
Maj Gen RP Kalita, GOC 19Div, said that around 60-70 terrorists are present on launching pads and they are ready to infiltrate through 19 division of Baramulla from Gulmarg to Naugam.Â
