The Prime Minister Narendra Modi Launched Submarine Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) Connecting Chennai And Port Blair In Andaman And Nicobar Islands Via Video Conferencing On Monday Morning.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched submarine Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) connecting Chennai and Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands via video confrencing on Monday morning.
The submarine optical fibre cable will also connect Port Blair to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock), Little Andaman, Car Nicobar, Kamorta, Great Nicobar, Long Island, and Rangat. During the virtual interaction with officials of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, PM Modi said,“Everyone will be able to avail the benefits of all kinds of online services amid the pandemic. Andaman and Nicobar Islands will now face no problem in connecting virtually to the world”.

The inagural event was attended by BJP chief J P Nadda.
