Presidential poll: Ghulam Nabi Azad targets Nitish, says 'people who believe in several principles make different decision'
Bihar Chief Minister Had Said He Has Lot Of Respect For UPA’s Presidential Candidate And Former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, But There Is No Going Back On His Decision To Support NDA’s Pick Ram Nath Kovind.
Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday targeted Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying that people who believe in one principle make one decision, but those who believe in several principles make different decision.
When asked over Nitish comment that Meira Kumar is nominated only to lose by the UPA, Azad said Nitish’s declaration to support NDA has made her lose not the Congress party.
Last Friday, the Bihar chief minister had said he has lot of respect for UPA’s presidential candidate and former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, but there is no going back on his decision to support NDA’s pick Ram Nath Kovind.
Nitish had said “Bihar ki Beti” has been nominated only to lose. He had questioned Congress, that why the grand old party had not nominated Meira ji for presidential nominee in past when it twice had the chance winning the polls.
